Hi Cosmic Explorer!

What does a pop star check when she wants a little direction?

For Katy Perry, astrology is part of the answer. And she has company: Beyoncé embraces her Virgo identity, while Ariana Grande brought Saturn into her music.

Here’s how the stars look to the stars, and a little inspiration for your own daily ritual.

THE CELEB ERA

Katy Perry checks this before her day begins ✨

Before a busy day, you might check the weather, your calendar, or the group chat.

Katy Perry has said she checks astrology daily, too.

In a 2024 interview with Zane Lowe, she described using it as “a way to GPS what’s coming next.” Think of it as her personal cosmic weather check.

It’s an interesting question: could a daily check-in help you approach your day with more intention?

Beyoncé knows her strengths

Beyoncé has publicly connected her work ethic with her Virgo identity. In GQ’s interview outtakes, her response to someone wanting a partner with her work ethic was: “Get a Virgo.”

That’s a very Beyoncé answer.

It also offers a fun reflection: which qualities do you confidently claim for yourself?

You don’t have to share her sign to appreciate preparation, persistence, or attention to detail. Choose a strength you already have and give it somewhere useful to go.

Ariana Grande made astrology part of her art

On Eternal Sunshine, Ariana Grande included a track called “Saturn Returns Interlude.”

In astrology, a Saturn return happens roughly every 29 years and is traditionally associated with maturity, responsibility, and reassessing your direction.

For Grande, that symbolism became part of an album exploring emotionally complicated experiences.

You can use the same idea as a creative prompt, whatever your age: “What have I learned that I’m ready to do something with?”

A journal entry, a conversation, or a new project could be your starting point.

Three celebrities, three different approaches

Katy uses astrology as a daily reference point. Beyoncé connects with the qualities of her sign. Ariana brings astrological symbolism into her music.

These examples show how astrology can become part of someone’s routine or creative identity. They don’t establish that it made them successful.

For your own practice, start with what helps you reflect and follow through.

Manifestation Corner: Your five-minute morning check-in

Before the notifications take over, open your journal and finish these sentences:

Today, I want to feel…
Choose something meaningful to you: focused, connected, curious, or confident.

One thing I want to move forward is…
Pick a specific goal that deserves your attention.

The action I’ll take today is…
Make it small enough to fit into your actual day.

If you enjoy reading your horoscope, use it as an extra reflection prompt. Then return to your own priorities.

Your reminder:
“I can set an intention and give it a practical next step.”

In Western astrology, the waxing gibbous Moon in Pisces brings themes of imagination and emotional reflection. The Sun remains in Libra, while Mercury and retrograde Venus in Scorpio put deeper conversations, relationships, and personal values in focus.
